SEPTEMBER FIELD TRIP TO “THE LIGHT FACTORY”
Our first field trip planned for the year is planned Tuesday September
29, and we will be visiting “The Light Factory”. We have planned to
meet at the Lynx Scaleybark Station (3750 South Blvd. Charlotte,
NC 28209 if you need to pull it up on
mapquest) at 12:00, we will need to be at the
museum by 12:50. The program we will be doing
is $10 for 90 minute tour with curator, darkroom use to make 5 x 7
photograph. After tour and/or photograph, students can enjoy
gallery on their own. The Lynx prices are Round-Trip Ticket adults - $ 3.00
Youth & Students - $ 1.50 Child 5 years old or younger - Free

The Light Factory is a museum dedicated to photography, film, and related lightgenerated
mediums. Our exhibitions present aesthetic excellence in contemporary and
historic photography and film. The thematic content of our exhibits stimulates
dialogue, challenges audiences and encourages artists to test new ideas. The Light
Factory offers education and outreach programs designed to teach people of all ages
to communicate using the photo and film mediums and to be able to interpret the
messages inherent in the images they see both in the museum and in mass media.
